A Somerset woman is in jail after police say she put her daughter in danger during a truck crash.
Officers say they were called to Hail Knob Road around 9:30 Wednesday night. A man was driving a pickup truck had hit 23-year-old Ileia Johnson and her 9-month-old child who was in a stroller.
Investigators say Johnson was walking in the middle of the road and the man didn’t see her in enough time to stop.
Johnson and her baby were taken to the hospital. She was released, but the baby was taken to U-K Hospital with critical injuries.
Officers say they charged Johnson with wanton endangerment after suspecting that alcohol may have been involved in the incident.
