Afternoon Update:

We're hot and humid as we jump into the afternoon hours here on your Friday. Scattered pop up showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and linger into this evening.

Happy Friday!

In some parts of eastern Kentucky, we're tracking near 0 visibility this morning.  Take your time along the mountain parkway. By lunch time, we're looking for a mix of sun and clouds with temps in the mid 80s.  After lunch time, it's fair game for a few pop up summer showers and storms.  Highs this afternoon will peak again in the low to mid 90s with heat index values nearing and exceeding 100°F!

Saturday Forecast
Look for a mostly sunny start; however, into the afternoon and especially the evening hours, we're anticipating clouds to build in and eventually give way to showers and evening thunderstorms.  A few of the storms that develop Saturday evening into early Sunday could be strong and heavy at times. Highs Saturday are expected in the upper 80s.

Sunday Forecast
We're mostly cloudy with temps in the mid 80s.  Scattered showers and storms are in the forecast.
