A Marion County Sheriff's deputy was shot and killed Wednesday while making a traffic stop in Lebanon.
Kentucky State Police said Anthony Raikes stopped a driver off U.S. 68 in Lebanon at around 2 a.m.
Police said during that stop, Raikes was shot.
 The suspect drove off.
Raikes was taken to Spring View hospital in Lebanon, where he died during surgery.
The suspect, Dewayne Shipp, 49, was later arrested in Campbellsville, according to police.
