A man was taken to the hospital after he left a trail of damage in Lexington Sunday night.

It happened around 10:45 p.m. on East High Street, near Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Police said a man drove his pickup truck off the road, knocking over a parking meter and a tree, then overcorrected and ran into a stone wall and fence.

He was taken to the hospital with injuries to his face.

Investigators said speed likely caused the crash.
