Kentucky State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Fleming County.
Police said their officers, along with the Fleming County Sheriff's department, responded to a report of a disturbance at a home Thursday on Kentucky 3301 in the Beechburg area.
Police said when they got to the home, they were confronted by James Hay, who had a gun.
They said officers tried to talk Hay into putting down his weapon for about an hour when he raised it toward officers.
Police said that's when the officers fired on Hay, killing him.
An autopsy on Hay is scheduled for Friday in Frankfort.
