Madison County Schools are implementing a one-hour delay system after parents were upset when schools were not delayed during a tornado warning last month.

The district defended itself saying they did not have a delay system in place at the time of the tornado warning. The district says parents can now find out about the delays the same way they do if school is going to be closed through television, the district's website, and social media.

The district said buses will run one hour behind the normal schedule if school is delayed.
