Madison Co. Deputies: "Unresponsive" Phone Call Leads to Two Arrests

Deputies in Madison County said two arrests were made after they received a phone call from Berea about two people being unresponsive.
Deputies in Madison County said two arrests were made after they received a phone call from Berea about two people being unresponsive.

They said when they arrived at the home on Verna Lane, they found two adults and a four-year-old in addition to two women who were unconscious.

The two women were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Berea, where one of them died.

The condition of the other woman is unknown at this time.

The two other adults in the home, Wayne McDaniel and Treva Perales, were both arrested.

McDaniel was cited for possession of marijuana.

Perales was wanted on a Rockcastle County warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

The four-year-old was placed in the care of family members.

Officers are still investigating the incident.
