Lexington Chick-fil-A customers dined out today as part of a “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.”

Chick-fil-A is receiving criticism after the company’s CEO Dan Cathy stated in a recent interview that he didn’t support gay marriage.

Appreciation Day was not declared by the company. But according to publications, it was initiated by former politicians like Mike Huckabee.

Many Kentuckians and people across the country ate at Chick-fil-A to show their support of the company.

Not everyone is supportive of Chick-fil-A's CEO's opinions. While no one in opposition was at today's event, recent publications say opponents are planning a protest for Friday.

But for today, Chick-fil-A was filled with supporters.
