State Police said a Lexington man was killed and a Nicholasville man was injured in a head-on collision Wednesday morning.
Investigators said it happened shortly after 10:00 a.m. on U.S. 27 in northern Garrard County.
State Police said the initial investigation revealed Jason Grizzell, 33, of Lexington, was driving a 1987 Toyota Corolla station wagon north, when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a southbound 2007 Mercedes SUV, driven by Islam Ali, 31, of Nicholasville.
State Police said Grizzell died at the scene.
Ali was taken to U.K. Hospital.
The deadly collision is still under investigation.
