The Winchester Police Department told ABC 36 News that the Lexington Fire Department assisted in a case where Thursday an anonymous tip led officers to believe there might have been some clues to a 2006 missing persons case in the Kentucky River.

One boat, courtesy of the Lexington Fire Department trolled the river along Four Mile Road in Clark County, Thursday afternoon.

Sonar scanning picked up nothing, according to Winchester Police. The case was a missing person from 2006 who police would not identify. Police said someone told them to look for a car at the bottom of the river.
Officers said they won't stop here though, there are more tips on the same case they're following up on.

That search came up empty but the Winchester Police department said if you have any information on that missing persons case you can leave a tip with them.
