Imagine not having to go to your doctor for every little sickness or bump or bruise.
That could soon be a reality after a local doctor created an app. for smart phones that will allow you to communicate directly with your doctor anywhere and anytime.
Dr. William (Chuck)Thornbury created the 'Me-Visit' app. to help doctors not only see more patients more efficiently but also keep their patients out of clinics and hospitals.
That app allows people to fill out information on what's bothering them, including pictures to their doctors any time, and allow the doctor communicate with the patient via text or even 'FaceTime'. Doctors will also be able to fill out prescriptions to their patients who will never have to set foot in a clinic or hospital.
The app is for minor ailments or chronic stabilized issues.
So far the app is still being introduced, but the Thornburys say they are working with major health care providers in Northern Kentucky, Texas, Arizona and California to implement the system.
