A Franklin County Circuit Court convicted 43-year-old Cammie Henson of two counts of knowingly abusing/neglecting an adult and two counts of persistent felony on Tuesday.
Henson, of Bagdad, KY, was accused of stealing from a disabled father and son while they were in her care.
The father, Jack Browning, Sr., was a disabled Korean War army veteran and also survived three years as a prisoner of war during his service. His son, Jack Browning, Jr., was a disabled veteran of the United States Marine Corp.
According to court documents, the men required around the clock care. During the two years that Henson provided that care, she stole nearly $20,000 from them by providing receipts for services and goods that she did not render.
Henson had previously been convicted on two counts of theft from the Bagdad Baptist Church Day Care program in 2011.
Jack Browning, Sr. did not see justice in his case, as he passed away in June of this year at the age of 80.
Henson received a 25 year sentence.
