Kentucky State Police and arson investigators say that a teen intentionally set a fire that killed two people.

According to the Lincoln County Fire Department, firefighters were called to the home off Joe McMullin Road around 11 p.m. Wednesday for reports of a structure fire. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they say, flames and smoke were throughout a majority of the home.

Three people were inside the home when the fire broke out. KSP tells ABC 36 that Everett Garland, 64 years old, and Linda Garland, 60 years old of Eubank were pronounced deceased after being located inside the burned residence. A teen got out unharmed.

After further investigation officials charged that teen with two counts of Murder and one count of Arson 1st Degree.

The Garlands family says the young teen was there granddaughter.

Investigators determined that the fire was intentionally set by a juvenile that was in the residence.
