Some guests staying at the Super 8 hotel in Richmond said they were asked to leave their rooms by police because of an early-morning standoff.
The guests said police knocked at their doors and told them to move to the lobby, where they said they remained for about 90 minutes.
Richmond police would not release any details but did say one man was arrested after being removed from a room and two children were placed in the custody of a grandparent.
