Funeral Arrangements Set For Longtime Radio Broadcaster

Funeral arrangements are complete for longtime Central Kentucky Christian radio broadcaster and executive Ed Wright, who passed away Tuesday from a heart attack at the age of 69.

Wright was the retired Christian Ministries Director for WJMM Radio in Versailles.

He was born July 20, 1944 in Lexington.

He graduated from Bryan Station High School.

He attended Indiana University South Bend.

Wright was a U.S. Army veteran and member of the Versailles Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter and son-in-law, two granddaughters and his stepmother.

Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 26th at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home in Versailles.

Funeral services are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 27th.

Burial with military honors will follow at Rose Crest Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Woodford County Senior Citizens Center, 285 Beasley Drive, Versailles, KY 40383 or to the Versailles Baptist Church Sanctuary Renovation Fund, 125 E. Green Street, Versailles, KY 40383.
