FRANKFORT, Ky. -This morning Frankfort Animal Control received a complaint of an abandoned puppy on Kentucky Avenue.
Employees of the Frankfort Sewer Department stated they had observed a white female (5’2”-5’6”, blonde hair, slender build, operating a late model silver Chevrolet SUV) park near the entrance to the Plant. They further stated she got out of the vehicle carrying a box and walked over the bank towards the river.
She returned a short time later without the box and drove away.
The witnesses went to retrieve the box and investigate.
They discovered a small Chihuahua puppy and notified authorities.
A veterinary examination determined that this 5 week old female puppy, if not discovered by the witnesses, would have likely died.
