Former Coach Sentenced To Prison For Having Relationship With Young Boy

A former volunteer coach in the Pendleton County Public School system was sentenced to one-year in prison for having an inappropriate relationship with a young boy, according to prosecutors.

Cassandra Elfers, 21, was sentenced on a reduced charge of Unlawful Transaction with a Minor.

Investigators said Elfers was a volunteer coach, who coached with her boyfriend in the school system.

Her victim was reportedly a 13-year old boy who was a member of a sports team.
