A late-night fire destroys part of an historic Jessamine County home.
The fire started just before 10 p.m. on Chrisman Mill Road
The homeowners said they were returning from a funeral when they spotted flames coming from one side of the house.
They said there were visitors in the home at the time.
Everyone made it out safely.
The homeowners said they had been restoring the home that was built in 1798.
Firefighters said, while there is no official cause, they do believe the fire was accidental.
