It was a different looking site along Cooper Dr. on the UK campus Saturday prior to the South Carolina football game.

Where thousands of UK students used to gather to tailgate, was nothing but a vacant field.

This, after UK President Dr. Eli Capilouto sent out a letter earlier in the week saying alcohol along the Cooper Drive tailgating spots would be banned for the week's game.

Those that still showed up to tailgate say the atmosphere was not the same for the game and that they were frustrated a small number of troublemakers ruined the tailgating experience for everyone.

The ban comes after reports of fights and arrests, all believed to be alcohol related, near Commonwealth Stadium during the Western Kentucky game two weeks ago.

The school says they will look into whether or not to keep the ban for future games, following the South Carolina game.
