EKU says students were allowed to return to Palmer Hall Monday night after an evacuation and police search.
The residence hall in Richmond was closed off around 4:00pm after police say a suspicious package was found in an elevator.
Investigators say it turned out to be a small refrigerator closed up with duct tape.
Police say there was a note attached to it, but they did not release details on what it said.
The school says students were able to return to Palmer Hall just before 6:00pm Monday.
