Dry, But Cool Weather Expected for Mother's Day

After a broken line of showers moves through the region Saturday night, mostly sunny skies will return for Sunday.
Midnight Update: The weak cold front and the broken line of showers ahead of it have now cleared Lexington and continues to push further southeast. The hit-and-miss showers will continue to push through the region and will exit Kentucky well before sunrise Sunday.

Temperatures have dropped into the low and mid 50s with Lexington currently sitting at 55°.

Happy (early) Mother's Day to all the moms across Kentucky!

By Sunday morning, skies will begin to clear with morning lows near 40°.

For your Mother's Day afternoon, we are expecting mostly sunny skies with temperatures topping out near 60°. Winds will be out of the northwest up to 15mph.

We will start to warm back up on Monday with highs in the low 60s with mostly sunny conditions.
