A restaurant employee was robbed at knifepoint as he walked out to his car Monday, according to Lexington police.
The man told police he was heading to his car after his shift ended at Cracker Barrel on Stanton Way just before 2 a.m. when he was approached by another man.
Police said the victim told them the man had a pocketknife and demanded the night deposit.
When the employee told him he didn't have it, the suspect then demanded his wallet.
The victim told police he dropped his wallet on the ground and ran to a nearby convenience store.
