A day care owner is in jail after five children are found unattended in a hot attic in Barbourville, according to Police.

Officials arrested Larinda Tuttle, the operator of Great Start Educational Center.

It was at the Center where Police say they found the children. They also found exposed nails, loose wiring and dead animals.

Tuttle is in the Knox County Jail.

The children weren’t hurt and are now with their families.
