Lexington Police said they're looking for a hit-and-run driver after a child was struck by an SUV on Michigan Street Monday afternoon.
Investigators said a boy, approximately 3-to-4 years old, ran out into the street in between cars and ran into the side of a passing green GMC Jimmy around 3:50 p.m.
Police said the child suffered non-life threatening injuries.
He was taken to U.K. Hospital. Because he's a juvenile, his name wasn't released.
Police said they don't know if the driver of the SUV even knew they had hit the child since the little boy ran into the side of the vehicle.
