John Calipari responded to what Dick Vitale said during Tuesday's North Carolina at Indiana game, regarding a potential meeting between Kentucky and Indiana next season.
LEXINGTON, Ky. - During the broadcast of the North Carolina at Indiana game on Tuesday, ESPN's Dick Vitale said that John Calipari told him that Calilpari would be willing to play Indiana to open next season in Brooklyn's Barclay's Center - where UK opened its season earlier this month against Maryland.
Vitale made it sound as though Calipari had texted him during the game. On Wednesday, Calipari said he did text Vitale - three weeks ago. However, Calipari confirmed that he did tell Vitale that he'd be willing to play the Hoosiers in the Barclay's Center.
Calipari said he received messages this morning telling him about Vitale's comments. Calipari said he was asleep during Tuesday night's 9:30 tip between the Hoosiers and Tar Heels.
