Lexington Police said one suspect they arrested in an armed home invasion was identified through social media.

Kenneth Ponders Junior, 19, has been charged with robbery.

Two victims living in the 3600 block of Honey Jay Court told police they were home when three men forced their way in on June 30.

According to court documents, the victims were held at gunpoint while the suspects rummaged through the home and took things.

Following the robbery, one of the victims went on Facebook and recognized Ponders as a suspect.

Officers said both victims identified Ponders as one of the suspects.

Ponders is scheduled to be arraigned later Tuesday.
