Erika Harsh

Erika Harsh joined the Action News 36 Team as a general assignment reporter in March, 2006.

She left the Lowcountry-Charleston, South Carolina for Horse Country. While in Charleston, Erika reported for WCSC-TV the CBS affiliate. She enjoyed covering the historic demolitions of the Old Pearman and Grace Bridges.

Before Charleston Erika reported and anchored for WMFD-TV in Mansfield, Ohio.

She started her career as a photographer, eventually working her way up to reporter/anchor in Mansfield. In addition to her work in news at WMFD-TV she hosted a live restaurant review show and the county fair shows.

Before starting her work in television Erika spent four years as commercial vocal artist for Fresh Air Advertising in her hometown-Wooster, Ohio.

Erika has studied Spanish abroad and speaks the language fluently. In addition to traveling, she enjoys meeting new people and as always spending time with her husband.

Since coming to Lexington, Erika has become very involved in the community. She is a volunteer at A Helping Hand Adoption Agency in Lexington. She is also a member of Circle of Hope International, a Christian orphan relief agency in Lexington.

Though her parents and siblings are still in the Buckeye State, she enjoys calling Kentucky home. Erika and her husband live in Richmond.
