joined Storm Team 36 in June 2007 from KEVN in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Born and raised in Winchester, KY, Mary is excited to make the move from the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota back to the gorgeous Bluegrass state.

Mary is a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School and Morehead State University. She graduated with a BA in Communications and an emphasis in Electronic Media.

Mary also went to graduate school to further her education in meteorology. She graduated from Mississippi State University with her MS in Geosciences’, emphasis Broadcast Meteorology. This type of career struck Mary's interest at an early age. When she was 6 years old, a tornado hit her aunt's neighborhood in Cincinnati. Since then, Mary turned her fear of storms into a fascination. Not only is she not scared of storms anymore…she goes out and chases them!

During college, she had the opportunity to intern at stations in Lexington and Cincinnati.

In her spare time, she likes to go to church, exercise, run races, swim, try new foods, and play with her dog, Charlie Derecho. She volunteers with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program.

You can catch her bright and early every weekday morning on Good Morning Kentucky.
