A body has been recovered from a Madison County lake.
The Madison County Coroner and the Richmond Police Department were on Lake Reba in Madison County for about 2 hours Friday recovering an unidentified body from the water.
“Upon arrival they did confirm it was body out in the water probably 8-10 feet from the bank,” said county Coroner Jimmy Cornelison.
Police say the body was spotted by a park employee on the Catawba Camp side of the lake.
“Could have been a drowning, could be natural, she could have had a heart attack—it could have been anything,” said Cornelison.
The family of 56-year-old Tonselara Miller was also on the scene. Miller has been missing since February 26th. She was last seen at her Richmond home. At this point police aren’t saying whether the body is believed to be miller.
“That’s what an autopsy is going to tell us-- make sure there is no foul play, we’ll rule things out, we’ll start with point a and go to point z and somewhere along the line we’ll find out what it is,” said Cornelison.
An autopsy is expected to be performed Saturday morning in Frankfort.
