A woman is in trouble after police say she lied about a missing 5-year-old to get out of a speeding ticket. The woman was pulled over on Sixth Street just after midnight. She told police she was searching for her missing child.

After brief police investigation of the woman’s home, police say her story was bogus. The woman was arrested and charged with giving a false name to an officer.

The woman’s real name has not been released.
