Changing your family's all season's banner can become a favorite tradition with your children. Here's all you need to do. Take a large piece of felt and fold over the top two inches. Glue the edges so you have a casing for a rod to slip through. This will be your basic banner. Next discuss with your children which symbols can represent each season . You might select a tulip and rabbit for spring, and perhaps a pumpkin and golden leaves for fall. Cut these shapes out of various colors of felt, and then place the hooked side of the hook and loop tape, like Velcro™ brand tapes, to these shapes. The felt symbols are sturdy enough to last for years, but you may choose to create new items every so often. Plan where you'd like the symbols to go on the banner, and then glue several fuzzy sides of hook and loop fasteners on the banner. At the start of each new season, bring out the symbols to discuss which are appropriate and what they mean to your family.
