Do you have an artistic side, yet enjoy working with computers, too? Today there's a demand for designers and drafters to produce drawings on computers, called computer-aided design or drafting. These may be plans for a home or building, a design for a car, or for a new product. The computer helps create exact dimensions and scales, which is crucial to many technical drawings. If this field sounds exciting to you, you can be trained in computer-aided design, also called 'cad,' at a technical college or trade school. The training usually takes two years of full-time study, but many programs will allow you to take classes part time, so you can continue to work at your present job. Here's a plus- financial aid, such as grants, loans, and scholarships, is usually accepted at these schools. Many schools will even help you with a job search after you graduate. Put your love of art and technology to work. Call today about getting training for computer aided design and drafting.
