If you're looking for a short-term job, or just a way to earn some extra cash, you might consider a seasonal job. The most common seasonal jobs occur during the christmas holidays, when many merchants hire extra help to get through the rush. Malls, retail stores, catering services, christmas tree lots, and package shipping companies are a few places you can try. If you're lucky enough to live in a tourist area, you'll probably have many seasonal jobs. Those in colder climates can apply at ski resorts, or ice skating rinks. But warm weather offers lots of seasonal work, too. There may be openings as tour guides, ticket takers, or even on the beach. Hotels and convention centers are another possibility. And one industry that booms during the summer in most every part of the country, is landscaping and lawncare. Just keep in mind, when taking a seasonal job: if it's your only source of income, you'll need to find a replacement job, after the season ends.
