When purchasing a new vehicle, dealers may offer various options packages containing accessories to entice consumers. These extras are usually an additional cost, discussed after the buyer and dealer have agreed upon the price of the car. They may contain items including, but not limited to, upgraded stereo systems, spoilers, mud guards, pinstripes, or special wheel covers. Some dealers allow you to customize the packages, while others may provide an established list of different options. As the buyer, it may beneficial to weigh the price and quality of an established package against the price of individual after-market accessories. Conducting research about different vehicle accessories before venturing out to purchase a vehicle could save you time and money.
