National Infant Immunization Week is underway April 21 through April 28.

During the week, the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention works to spread awareness about the importance of vaccinating infants and protecting them from preventable diseases.

Kentucky's childhood vaccination vaccination coverage rate has seen a dramatic increase, and is now above the national average at 80.6%.
