It won't be long before you'll find yourself at the beach or the pool, but will your body be ready for your bathing suit?
One easy way to lose weight is to add more whole grains to your diet today to help get your body bikini-ready. The whole grains in rice, breads, or pasta will keep you fuller longer than their white counterparts.
This is also the time of year to plant a garden. Gardeners tend to eat more vegetables and you'll benefit from the physical activity.
You can also start choosing healthier desserts; like a low-fat yogurt topped with berries or granola, instead of ice cream. Or you can even top a whole grain waffle with some peanut butter or almond butter.
And a quick way to cut calories out of your diet is to skip the high-calorie coffees.
"And we're not talking about the coffee, the black coffee you have at your house, we're talking about the coffee drinks you're stopping for on your way to work that are filled with calories and fat," said Cleveland Clinic dietician Kristin Kirkpatrick.
Kirkpatrick recommends swapping your high-calorie coffees for a low-fat smoothie, instead.
