Saturday, March 10th, 2012: Thunderstorms Likely...Severe Weather, Not Likely.
Good evening! High pressure provided Kentucky with plenty of gorgeous weather this weekend!
-

-
We will have one more day to enjoy the sunshine before the wet weather returns. A cut-off upper level low pressure is churning across portions of Texas.
-

-
This system will speed up tomorrow and bring a few clouds late in the day. Rain showers will slide in from the west during the overnight hours into Monday morning.
-
-
Even though we're bringing back the wet weather, there are a few upsides to this system.
First, the severe threat looks extremely limited. The Storm Prediction Center does have portions of our region in a 5% chance for severe weather.
-

-
This threat will be very isolated.
Also, after dealing with some flooding concerns recently, this system does not appear to bring excessive rain.
-

-
Overall, the rest of the week looks mild, with a few chances for some showers.
See you at 11pm!
