Sunday, January 29, 2012: Next Chance for Snow...?

Good afternoon!

The forecast is pretty straight-forward through mid-week, showing a big rain maker.  So I am going to focus on the colder air AFTER that event by next weekend.  Keep in mind this is almost a week away and things will likely change quite a bit...but with the lack of snow this year, I don't want anyone to be caught off guard.

Straight to the models!  This is 7am Saturday morning.  The white line is where the freezing temperatures will likely be.

This is showing at least light snow for the Bluegrass and eastern KY.

This model show light precipitation throughout the day finally exiting Eastern KY that evening. (The picture above is for 7pm Saturday).

Keep in mind I have said LIGHT precipitation...

This is forecasted snow DEPTH...Our region doesn't even show more than 1 inch.

So even with snow being POSSIBLE this weekend, it doesn't look to be a high impact event right now.

Stay tuned for updates as we close in on the event!
