A Heat Advisory will be in effect for all of central and eastern Kentucky on Friday and Saturday. A heat index around 105 will be likely, with an air temperature just above 100 degrees. Please take precautions if you do need to be in the heat.

Extreme heat will continue across the region over the next several days. Afternoon high temepratues are expected to exceed 100 degree through Saturday. The winds will be weaker over the next several days, around 5 to 15 mph. And higher humidity will settle into the region, allowing the heat index to run 2-4 degrees higher than the air temperature.
