After a dry and at times cold weekend, there are changes as we head into the work week.
Tonight clouds will thicken across the region, as temperatures only drop into the upper 40s. Showers and isolated thunderstorms will slide into the region from the west by Tuesday morning. Most of the activity should remain to our north, but some showers will likely build into the Bluegrass. They could linger through the morning and into the midday on Tuesday. Along with the system a warm front will lift across the region on Tuesday and beneath it high temperatures will make it back into the upper 70s, even with extra clouds.
Periods of showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected for the work week, as temperatures head back above normal. Afternoon highs will generally be between 78 and 81 degrees.
