Mainly showers and isolated thunderstorms are sliding into central Kentucky. They are associated with a cold front. The cold front will arrive in the Bluegrass between 6am-8am. The showers will slide into eastern Kentucky for the midday. Behind the cold front, some afternoon sunshine is expected in central Kentucky as temperatures remain in the upper 70s. In southeast Kentucky, as the cold front is exiting, there may be a stray strong or severe storm in the afternoon. All showers and storms will be gone by the late afternoon and evening.

The weekend will be filled with sunshine under high pressure. A pleasant weekend is anticipated with cool morning temperatures in the mid 50s and afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s.
