Mostly cloudy skies will persist tonight as temperatures drop into the upper 40s. After a very cool start to the weekend, more afternoon sunshine with scattered clouds will allow temperatures to recover into the low 70s on Saturday afternoon. By the late afternoon and evening a weak trough approaching from the northwest may spark off a stray evening shower or storm, especially in the Bluegrass and northern Kentucky. The stray shower will continue into the overnight, but then a dry Sunday is expected. Temperatures Sunday will climb into the upper 70s, closer to average.
