Moisture has returned to the region with a light south wind today. High temperatures peaked in the low to mid 50s despite the cloudy skies. Under the cloud cover temperatures tonight will remain mild with lows only in the mid to upper 40s. Scattered showers will continue into the overnight with a more organized band of rain developing on Friday, mainly along the Ohio River. Rain coverage on Friday will mainly be confined to the Bluegrass and location north and west. High temperatures will climb into the upper 50s.
Rain chances will linger into the weekend as moisture continues in the Ohio River valley. Ahead of a strong cold front, on Sunday thunderstorms are expected to accompany the rain. Weekend high temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s.
