Wet, But Still Mild On Tuesday

Rain wil arrive after midnight tonight and continue through Wednesday. Cooler weather arrives later in the week, switching our rain to a wintry mix and snow.
Midnight Update: Rain has entered western Kentucky and is headed our way! Southern Kentucky could see rain in the next couple of hours but the Bluegrass will likely stay dry until 3 or 4 a.m. Tuesday. It still looks like a very wet commute for nearly everyone.

Temperatures have dropped down to 40° in Lexington and Jackson, while southern Kentucky is in the mid 40s for now. Most areas will wake up to the upper 30s.

Meteorologist Michael Estime will be tracking the rain for you starting at 5 a.m. Tuesday on ABC 36 Good Morning Kentucky.

After a dry Monday, rain will arrive in the very early hours of Tuesday. Some showers will produce heavy rain at times during the morning commute with temperatures in the upper 30s.

Rain will continue on and off throughout the day Tuesday. In the afternoon, winds will be out of the south, gusting up to 25mph. This will bring in some warmer air for the day, helping highs climb into the low and mid 50s.

Wednesday will be much cooler with highs in the upper 30s. Our rain could switch over to more of a wintry mix Wednesday afternoon, and eventually to snow in some areas Wednesday night.
