Flurries This Evening...Another Snow Chance Soon

Flurries This Evening...Another Snow Chance Soon

Light snow showers and flurries will remain possible, especially in eastern Kentucky, but little to no accumulation is expected.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect across the region with light snow showers still possible. The only accumulation possible, will be the highest terrain of eastern Kentucky through the overnight. Otherwise only a dusting, at best, is expected. But untreated area roads will become slick with overnight temperatures in the mid 20s, after rainfall earlier today.

Clouds and off and on light snow showers will remain possible across the region this evening. They should come to an end for the I-75 corridor as we head into the overnight, but they may linger through the night for eastern Kentucky. Temperatures will dip into the mid 20s tonight with a northwest wind at 10 to 15 mph. Wind chills will be in the Teens at times.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected on Thursday with some sunshine at times. It will be a dry, but cold day, with temperatures struggling in the low to mid 30s. The northwest winds will be around 5 to 12 mph.

More sunshine is expected on Friday as temperatures recover to around 40 degrees for afternoon highs. Clouds will thicken by the late afternoon, and for the evening a rain and snow mix will be possible, mainly in southern Kentucky, moving north toward the Bluegrass. Overnight precipitation should transition to snow showers and there is the potential for accumulating snow as we start the weekend on Saturday.
