Clouds then Showers Return Behind our Friday Cold Front

It has been an unseasonable warm week, so far, but a strong cold front on Friday will bring big changes for the weekend forecast.
Another beautiful afternoon, will give way to a few extra clouds returning tonight. Temperatures will only drop into the mid 50s with light south winds at 3 to 10 mph.

A cold front will arrive in the Bluegrass around midday on Friday. With the front, extra clouds will thicken across the region. Temperatures will peak on Friday during the midday in the mid 60s. Behind the front temperatures will fall through the afternoon. Northwest winds will be breezy behind the front at 10 to 18 mph. We'll drop into the mid 50s by 6 P.M. Showers and an isolated thunderstorm will remain possible through the overnight along the I-75 corridor. The front will continue to slide east. By Saturday morning a few showers will be arriving in eastern Kentucky.

Partly cloudy and chilly temperatures will then persist through the weekend. Highs on Saturday are only expected in the low 50s. Sunday, temperatures will struggle in the upper 40s.
