Update: Temperatures at the 11 o'clock hour have already fallen to the low and mid 20s in the Bluegrass and surrounding areas. The clouds have arrived and will stick with us the next couple of days as our next winter storm moves through - bringing rain to some - and snow to others.
Overnight, clouds will continue to build back into the area as temperatures drop into the mid 20s by Monday morning. We will start the day dry.
As we head into Monday afternoon, temps will climbinto the mid 30s under mostly cloudy skies. Rain will push into the region by the middle of the afternoon.
Rain could start to transition into sleet and snow north of I-64 late Monday night, but areas south of Lexington will likely continue to see rain through Tuesday morning.
Areas in northern Kentucky could see 1-2" of snow on the ground by Tuesday night.
