Midnight Update: Clouds are starting to push into western Kentucky and should arrive for the morning commute. Outside of a quick isolated sprinkle, we should be dry for the drive/walk into work and school. Temperatures are falling quickly this evening. Lexington is now at 41°, but Monticello has fallen even further to 30°. Bundle up Friday morning, and take the rain gear for later in the day, the wintry mix is still expected Friday afternoon.

Our next cold front will arrive Thursday night, putting a quick end to the great weather we enjoyed on Valentine's Day. Clouds will build in tonight as temperatures drop to near 30° by morning.

As we head towards Thursday afternoon, a wintry mix will develop and is expected to switch to snow later in the afternoon. We are expecting at most a short-lived dusting on the ground as temperatures will climb to near 40°, well above freezing. When dry, skies will remain mostly cloudy.

We will start Saturday in the low 20s with mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures will only climb to about 32° in the afternoon. A few scattered snow showers will be possible, but no accumulation is expected.
