A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Floyd, Knott, Perry, and Leslie counties in southeastern Kentucky through 8 A.M. Wednesday. An additional 1" of snow is possible at elevations above 1500'.
A few light showers will continue this evening and into the overnight across the region. As temperatures drop into the mid 30s, a few wet snowflakes will again be possible, although they will likely be contained to eastern Kentucky. Accumulating snow will once again be possible in the highest elevations in eastern Kentucky. Any overnight showers will become just sprinkles and light flurries by Wednesday morning.
Breezy west winds will persist on Halloween, as the clouds continues. Temperatures will climb a few degrees, back into the mid 40s. Wind chills will remain in the mid 30s. A few sprinkles or light showers will be possible, mainly east of I-75.
The evening forecast will be dry for those going trick-or-treating. It will be breezy and cold, but dry.
