After some sunshine on Election Day, extra clouds will arrive through the evening. Within the clouds so passing showers will be possible beginning late this evening, for the Lake Cumberland region of southern Kentucky. Scattered showers will continue into Wednesday, under clouds skies.

We'll begin in the mid to upper 30s on Wednesday morning, and end up around 50 degrees in the afternoon under cloudy skies. Light north winds will help keep the temperatures below normal.

Behind our midweek system, high pressure will build in Wednesday night, clearing the sky. Temperatures Thursday will start below freezing and end up in the mid 50s under mostly sunny skies.
